Bloomington, IN - • Prior to coming to IU, Marshall Strickland accumulated a long list of accomplishments. A first-team All-Metro honoree in his final season at South Carroll High School, Strickland averaged 30.5 points, 4.3 assists and 1.9 steals.Strickland was rated among the top five point guards in the nation by ESPN and RivalsHoops.com and among the top 30 members of the class of 2002 by ESPN and The Sporting News. He tallied 11 points and three assists at the Kentucky Derby Festival Classic, where he was joined by fellow IU freshman Daryl Pegram.
