Moye Speaks At Fairview School

Bloomington, IN - Indiana junior guard A.J. Moye was a special guest of Bloomington's Fairview School on Tuesday afternoon, and he had a special message for the student body, grades K-6.
"Whether it's in basketball or schoolwork, nothing is more valuable than effort," he said. "If you work hard in everything you do, then good things are bound to happen."
Dave Smith, a sixth grade teacher at Fairview, organizes a monthly school-wide convocation, focusing on positive personality traits such as respect, honesty and effort. Effort was the theme of this month's meeting, so Smith invited a member of the Hoosier basketball team to speak to the students.
"I really enjoy working with kids," Moye said. "They're fun, and it means a lot knowing that you can be a good influence in their lives."
"We really appreciate A.J. taking the time to speak to our students," Smith said. "Especially with this month's theme being effort, what better person to have than a player from Indiana's Final Four team like A.J.
