Bloomington, Ind. - Indiana soccer player Michael Bock has been selected to the Verizon CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) Academic All-District V team. Bock, a senior from Naperville, Ill., is a Finance major.
Bock has appeared in 78 games over the last four seasons for Indiana. He has been a part of three College Cup teams and the 1999 National Championship team. This season, the forward has played in 16 games for the Hoosiers, with two starting assignments. He has three assists to his credit and scored a goal in Indiana's 3-1 win over 17th-ranked UC Santa Barbara. Bock is one of seven Hoosier seniors to go through their career without a loss in Big Ten Conference regular season play.
Indiana, which is currently ranked third in the nation and holds a 14-2-2 record, will open play next Friday, Nov. 15, in the Big Ten Tournament at Penn State University.
