Bloomington, Ind. - The No. 10 Indiana men's basketball team looks for its sixth straight win Saturday when the Hoosiers play host to Illinois-Chicago at 1 p.m. at Assembly Hall in Bloomington. The game will be televised locally by ESPN Plus and can be heard live on the IU Radio Network.The Flames enter the game with a 2-1 record under the direction of head coach Jimmy Collins. The meeting is the first ever between the Hoosiers and the Flames.
With Indiana's victory over No. 8 Maryland, IU extended its winning streak to five games. This is the earliest point in the season that Indiana has ranked among the AP's Top 10 since Dec. 10, 1996, when the Hoosiers were eighth.
Senior guard Tom Coverdale showed why he is this year's team leader, turning in a 30-point performance Tuesday night against the Terrapins at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind. He tied his career-high with 30 points adding six rebounds, five assists, four steals and just one turnover in 43 minutes of action.
