Bloomington, Ind. -- There is no tradition in the sport of collegiate soccer like Indiana soccer, and there is no head coach that can match the success that Indiana's Jerry Yeagley has had in his 29 years at the helm for the Hoosiers.
The numbers speak for themselves. Yeagley has led the Hoosiers to five NCAA titles, the second most in NCAA history and 15 trips to the College Cup, including 11 championship game appearances. The 15 College Cups are the second most ever. In fact, every player who has played at Indiana for four years has competed in at least one College Cup, a claim that no other program can make. No team has won more NCAA Championships or appeared in more College Cups than Indiana, since soccer earned varsity status on the Bloomington campus.
Indiana University has been college soccer's most successful program since its inception in 1973. Since then, Indiana has won more NCAA Tournament games than any other school and five NCAA titles. The program also has 15 College Cup appearances which is the most of any school.
In addition, every freshman class at Indiana has participated in at least one College Cup during their four years, a feat that no other program in the country has accomplished.
Head coach Jerry Yeagley has been the architect of college soccer's premier program since 1973 and the numbers speak for themselves:
