Though just a sophomore, men's soccer player Mike Ambersley has tasted his share of success in an Indiana soccer uniform. The Ballwin, Mo., native was named the 2001 Big Ten Freshman of the Year and helped IU to a trip to the NCAA College Cup and the national championship game in his intial season as a Hoosier. He was Indiana's second-leading scorer in 2001 with 17 points. Ambersley, along with fellow sophomore Ned Grabavoy, spent 10 days in Spain during the month of August competeing for the United States in an U-20 International Tournament.
