September 11, 2002
Bloomington, IN - The field hockey team reflects on the events of September 11th by extending their message to the victims, the families of the victims, the heroes and the nation.
Head Coach Amy Robertson
"As a native born Manhattan, New York, I would like to tell the families that they have inspired the entire country with their courage and their fortitude. We have all cried for what has been lost but because of their example we are all determined to persevere and come through stronger than we have ever been."
Freshman Morgan Albini
"It is unfortunate that something as tragic as September 11, 2001 had
to occur before our country could become unified and people really
looked inside themselves to see what they were made of. Let us not
forget this event and the sacrifices made so that those who lost their
lives did not die in vein."
Freshman Lesley Wiler
"There's really no easy thing to tell all those who have loved ones in
the tragedy of September 11th. The only thing that we can do is
remember. We are only as strong as our weakest link and we must all
have faith and patriotism."
Freshman Mallory Reabold
"To all the victims families and friends, stay strong and faithful. I am proud of the reactions of the world and how everyone came together in a very difficult time to show support for everyone involved directly and indirectly."

"My heart just goes out to all of the families and the victims of the
September 11th tragedy. For the heroes who are living and the ones
that are unfortunately no longer with us, thank you for your
courageous acts of heroism and we will always remember you on this
day."
Sophomore Brooke Evans
"What I would say to the victims and the survivors of September 11th is
to keep the people that were lost alive. It was a great loss and it
would be an even greater loss if we forgot who the people were that we
lost. Also not to forget the people who mean so much to us in our
lives right now. Don't live in the past, but remember the people who
have been there for you to keep the memory alive of those who were
lost."
