Kimberly Nash regarding what it will take to get a win(s) this weekend...
"If our team wants to win this weekend, it will require all of the
players to be 100% committed. Every second a player is on the field,
they should always be thinking about beating their opponent and always
thinking about the next pass. If everyone on the team anticipates
beating each opponent and winning, it is bound to happen."
Kimberly Nash on goals and expectations...
"Our team goals are to beat both teams this weekend and play as a
unit. Our expectations of each other are to hold one another
accountable and to trust each other on the field."
Nash's overall feelings regarding the weekend...
"This weekend will be so much fun and is another great opportunity
for Indiana field hockey to excel and become a stronger program."
Molly Pulkrabek regarding what it will take to get a win(s) this weekend...
"Extreme focus. I think before the game on that day and in practice all
week we need to be firing ourselves up about beating the teams and what
our personal goals are. Focus is can be one of our main problems at
times."
Molly Pulkrabek on goals and expectations...
"A team goal is to win by two goals in each game. One isn't enough in my mind
to prove that we are significantly better. I want these games to be
defying moments in our teams progress. And of course having extreme focus
on and off the field."
Morgan Albini regarding what it will take to get a win(s) this weekend...
"To win this weekend we are going to need to play together as a team
and focus on the things that we can control. If each of us does our
part and we execute our fundamentals the way we know how, then we will
be able to take care of what we have the power to change."
Morgan Albini on team goals and expectations...
"Our team goal is to play the best game that we can and come away
knowing that we competed our best and we have nothing to hang our
heads about."
Albini's overall feeling regarding the weekend...
"I feel very ready for this challenging weekend. Our team is all on
the same page and we are ready to show what we have worked for and I
think there is no better time than this weekend. It will be the best time
to show our determination to win."
Brooke Evans regarding what it will take to get a win(s) this weekend...
"I think that what we need to do to get a win this weekend is to
just go out and play the game. It shouldn't matter that we are away this
weekend, we spend days of practice preparing for one or two games in a weekend and
playing those games is the best part about being on the team. A game
is a game and I think that we get so focused on the opponent that we
psych our selves out of playing our game the way we want to play it.
We just need to go out and enjoy playing the game that we love and I
think then we will definitely come out with a win."
Brooke Evan's on team goals and expectations...
"Our main team goal is to let our actions on the field express how
hard we have been working in preparing for our games. Excuses are
not an option for the team anymore. We have really started to hold
ourselves and each other accountable for mistakes and lack of focus in
practice. We have come closer as a team through encouraging each
other and staying positive."
Evan's overall feelings regarding the weekend...
"I'm extremely excited to go to Georgetown and Penn State this
weekend. Our team had a blast together when we went to Syracuse
and when we were on the road to Miami. I have such a good time being
with everyone when we are away for games and traveling together. I'm
also excited to get back to the east coast and to be able to see my
DAD who will be at the games!! We know that we are capable of a win
and I think this weekend will be a success for IU athletics and for
our team!"
Ginna Irwin regarding what it will take to get a win(s) this weekend....
"I think if we play with the intensity that we are capable of, along with
confidence in ourselves, we can reach new heights as a team and come up
with some more wins!!"
Ginna Irwin on goals and expectations....
"Our goals are always to improve and learn from each game that we play.
My only real expectation from the team is to give 110% all the time.
You can control yourself, and I think if everyone is giving it their all
we will see great things."
Irwin's overall feelings regarding the weekend...
"I think this is going to be another great opportunity to see how far our
team can go. We continue to be improving, and I think as a team we haven't
put together our best games yet. I can't wait to play this weekend, and
raise our program to new heights!!"
Katie Kanara regarding what it will take to get a win(s) this weekend...
"We need to posses the ball, make simple plays, and put our heart into
everything we do this weekend. We are each going on the field playing
first for our teammates and then for ourselves. The coaching staff
has prepared us both mentally and physically. It is up to us to put
it all together and make it happen."
Katie Kanara on goals and expectations for the weekend...
"Every game we go into we have the goal and expectation of fighting
hard for a win. We know from playing PSU that they are a talented
team, but more importantly we know what we are capable of. We have
put a lot into practice this week, and we expect to get a lot out of
this weekend."
Kanara's overall feelings regarding the weekend....
"I'm really excited for this weekend. A few of us are from the east
coast so it will be nice to be "home" for the weekend. We have shown
the coaching staff and each other what we can do, now its time for us
to show everyone outside of Mellencamp Pavillion what we are capable
of. I really wish I could be on the field this weekend playing, I
cant change being injured, but I'm SO excited to see it all come
together for us!!!"
Lauren Brophy regarding what it will take for a win(s)...
"Most importantly, its going to take confidence this weekend."
Lauren Brophy on goals and expectations...
"We want to focus on our possession and our off ball movement. In goal
we are focusing on our poise, confidence, and decision making."
Brophy's overall feelings on the weekend...
"It should be an exciting weekend and I know we are all looking
forward to starting Big Ten play."
