Dennison Ranked by Golfweek/Sagarin as Top Golfer in the Nation

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University junior Karen Dennison is the top-ranked golfer in the nation as reported by the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings released today.
The Madison, Ind. native is currently leading the Lady Northern Intercollegiate by one stroke in the individual standings after shooting a school record six-under par, 140 (72-68) Saturday.
Dennison won her first collegiate event two weeks ago at the Wolverine Invitational and was honored by Golf World magazine as the National Player of the Week for her efforts.
The insiders at Golfweek note that while Dennison's ranking is the nation's best, she will need to win the Lady Northern this weekend to most likely retain her position. The rankings are weighted mostly by the individual compeition and the team's strength of schedule.
