BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Senior Mark Calkins is a two-year starter in left field for the Hoosiers and turned in his best season yet in 2002. He finished ranked third on the team with a .357 batting average and 67 runs scored while knocking in 38 runs and hitting 12 doubles. A native of Portland, Ore. (Jesuit HS), Calkins played the first season of his college career at the The Citadel before transferring to Indiana. 8. What is your greatest ambition? Win the lottery, buy a yacht and fish for the rest of my life

10. What’s the best advice you have ever heard and who it came from? “Never Give Up!” -- from my parents
