Davis Receives Award

Bloomington, Ind. - Head basketball coach Mike Davis will be speaking today at the Indiana State Employee Celebration at the Indiana Capitol Rotunda in Indianapolis. The Martin Luther King Holiday Commission and Indiana Civil Rights will be hosting the event.

Speaking along with coach Davis will be the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts Tony Dungy, head football coach at Notre Dame Tyrone Willingham, head basketball coach at IUPUI Ron Hunter and the manager of the Indianapolis Indians Cecil Cooper.

Governor Frank O'Bannon will present coach Davis with the Governor's Distinguished Hoosier Award. The Distinguished Hoosier Award is one of the highest awards given by the State of Indiana to its citizens.
