Bloomington, Ind. - The Hoosiers are on the road to face Michigan State on Tuesday, Jan. 28. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN (Dan Shulman, Dick Vitale and Andy Katz) and can be heard on the statewide Indiana Radio Network (Don Fischer, Todd Leary and Joe Smith).• Indiana is looking to snap a four-game league road losing streak and a nine-game Breslin Center skid.
• The Michigan State game is Indiana's fifth road contest of the season. In each of the Hoosiers' road games this season (at Ball State, at Temple, at Ohio State, at Purdue and at Michigan State), IU has visited a team that was returning home from a road loss in its previous game.
• Senior Kyle Hornsby and junior George Leach are especially critical to Indiana's success. Hornsby is averaging 9.4 ppg and 3.5 rpg in Indiana victories, but 4.3 ppg and 2.5 rpg in defeats. The same holds true for Leach (6.8 ppg and 8.8 rpg in the 14 wins but 3.8 ppg and 5.0 rpg in the four losses).
• Sophomore guard Donald Perry is earning more time in the Hoosiers' rotation. He recorded a career-high three steals in a season-high 26 minutes at Purdue and has hit 9 of his last 12 free throws.
• With 11 more blocks, Jeff Newton becomes Indiana's career leader in that category, passing Alan Henderson.
