Indiana Falls 3-0 To California-Berkeley

Bloomington, Ind. - The Indiana field hockey team fell 3-0 to No. 18 California-Berkeley on Sunday, Oct. 19. Indiana is now 7-6, 0-4 in the Big Ten, and California improves to 7-3.
In the first half, California's nine penalty corners allowed the Bears to dominate parts of the half. California was able to break through with a goal by Jessica Bird with just over seven minutes remaining in the half.
Indiana had three penalty corners and five shots. Senior goalkeeper Molly Pulkrabek made six saves in the first half.
California wasted no time in the second half as Nora Fedderson scored her first of two goals just over four minutes into the half. Six minutes later Fedderson added her second goal of the afternoon.
Indiana was able to hold California in the second half to only three shots, as the Bears had 14 shots in the match. Indiana added five more shots in the second half to finish the match with 10.
Indiana will be on the road as it takes on Big Ten rival Ohio State on Saturday Oct. 25 at 12 p.m.
