Recht and Stone Still Rollin in MidWest Regionals

East Lansing, Mich.— In the fourth day of action at the ITA MidWest Regionals, Indiana’s double pair Ryan Recht and John Stone advanced to the quarterfinal rounds Sunday afternoon. Recht and Stone reached the quarterfinals after defeating Jonny Hoak and Walter Valarezo from Iowa, 8-4. The duo then faced Dan Grunn and Jose Orozeo of Western Michigan and beat them, 9-8 (3).
Recht and Stone are scheduled to play No. 9 seed, Clay Bates and Avery Ticer from Big Ten opponent, Minnesota on Monday at 12:00 p.m.
In other doubles action, Dmytro Ishtuganov and Neil Kenner reached the round of 16 after defeating Aaron Forsberg and Willy Gali of Northern Illinois, 9-8 (5). The duo then fell to No. 7 seed Troy Havens and Paul Rose from intrastate rival Purdue, 8-5.
