BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- A pair of formers IU soccer players and current professionals were featured this week on USSoccerPlayers.com. Pat Noonan, who wrapped up his career at Indiana in 2002, is in his first season with Major League Soccer's New England Revolution and is a MLS Rookie of the Year candidate. Brian Maisonneuve, the 1994 Hermann Trophy Winner (National Player of the Year), is with the Columbus Crew.
Noonan earned his second MLS Player-of-the-Week honor of the season last week after collecting his first career hat trick. In addition, Noonan was honored as the MLS Player of the Month for October. Both awards are selected by the Professional Soccer Reporters Assocation. Noonan is tied for ninth in the MLS 27 points this season and ranks second among rookies. The Revolution is gearing up for playoff action where they face the New York/New Jersey MetroStars.

Maisonneuve, a midfielder, just completed his ninth season in the MLS with the Crew. He started 20 of the 23 matches he appeared in. The Crew finished with a 10-12-8 record and just missed the playoffs. Maissoneuve has competed for the U.S. National team from 1997 to 1998 and again in 2002. He played in the 1996 Olympics and the 1998 World Cup.
