Archibald paced IU early with three kills as the teams fought to an 11-11 tie. U-M used a 9-4 run to grab a 20-15 lead before back-to-back kills by Archibald and junior Victoria Zimmerman cut the lead to 20-17.
The Michigan lead remained three points at 29-26 before Indiana stormed back with four unanswered points for a 30-29 lead. After three ties and two lead changes, the Wolverines finally closed out the game, scoring the final two points for the victory.

Again, the Wolverines responded, running off four of the next five points to build a 19-14. Two Michigan errors and a block solo by Brewer moved Indiana within two points at 21-19, but the Hoosiers could not get any closer as U-M took a 2-0 lead in the match, closing out game two, 30-23.
Junior Katie Pollom led IU with five kills on 11 attempts in the game.
IU fell behind 11-2 in the third game until a 5-1 surge closed the deficit to 12-7. The Wolverines built a 17-9 lead, but Indiana rallied once again. A 9-4 run trimmed the Michigan lead to 21-18. However, U-M stopped the run and closed out the match with a 30-20 game-three victory.
