After ties at 5-5 and 10-10, IU gained its first lead of game two at 12-11 following a service ace by junior Victoria Zimmerman. The Badgers used a 7-4 spurt to garner an 18-16 lead before the Hoosiers evened the game for the 13th time at 18-18.
With the teams even at 21-21, Indiana opened its largest advantage of the game at 24-21 after a Brewer kill and two UW errors. Two kills by Nikki Hill helped IU maintain its three-point lead at 26-23, but the Badgers stormed back with a 5-1 run to recapture the lead at 28-27.
