Hoosiers To Host Indiana Invitational This Weekend
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Indiana men’s and women’s track and field teams will host their first home meet of the indoor season, the Indiana Invitational, on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 7-8 at the Harry C. Gladstein Fieldhouse on the IU campus. Friday’s action will kick off at 4 p.m. while competition begins at Noon on Saturday. More than 25 teams from all over the country will compete in the meet. Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for youth, grades 12 and under, and can be purchased at the door. IU students are admitted free with a valid student ID.In the latest Trackwire 25 Polls, the IU women's team is ranked No. 8 and the men's teams is tied for 17th. In the Team Power Rankings, the Hoosier women are No. 2 while the men occupy the No. 9 spot.
A schedule of events for the Indiana Invitational and a list of participating teams are below. Results will be available on iuhoosiers.com, as soon as possible following competition on Friday and Saturday. Both an HTML version and a PDF version will be posted on the main page of both the men’s and women’s track and field sites.
