Pegram To Transfer

Bloomington, Ind. - Indiana University basketball coach Mike Davis announced today that freshman forward Daryl Pegram has left the team and plans to transfer to another school at the end of IU's spring semester.

"Daryl is a mature, hard-working player who has decided that he would like to pursue other options," Davis said. "We respect his decision and sincerely wish him the best."

The 6-9, 193-pound Pegram is a native of San Bernardino, Calif. who came to IU by way of Worcester (Mass.) Academy. He played in just two games this season due to tendinitis in his knee. He averaged one point and one rebound in limited action.

When Indiana hosts Michigan on Feb. 12, the game will be televised by both ESPN Plus Local (Mike Gleason, John Laskowski) and ESPN2 (Dave Barnett, Bill Raftery). Tipoff time is slated for 7:07 p.m.
