Big Ten Tourney vs. Michigan Notes

- Following Indiana's 63-56 win over Michigan, head coach Mike Davis improves to 14-4 when playing in the month of March.

- The Hoosiers improved to 20-11 on the season. It marked the seventh consecutive season that IU has won 20 games. The seven straight seasons is a school record. Head coach Mike Davis is the first coach in IU history to begin his tenure with three straight 20-win seasons.

- Indiana tied a school record for least amount of turnovers with four. The Hoosiers are now 10-1 when they turn the ball over less than 10 times.

- A.J. Moye scored a season-high 18 points. The total was two points shy of his career high of 20 against North Carolina last season.

- A.J. Moye scored 15 of Indiana's 19 points from the 15:00 mark until the 6:03 mark. His free throw at the 6:03 mark gave IU its first lead of the game.

- Moye went 6-of-6 from the field against Michigan and is now 9-of-10 in the Big Ten Tournament this season. In eight career Big Ten Tournament games, Moye is 23-of-28 (.821) from the field. Purdue's Brad Miller holds the BTT record for career field goal percentage at 68.7 percent on 22-of-32.

- Michigan led by as much as eight on two occasions in the second half. Indiana led by as much as nine with just 10 seconds remaining.

- Michigan scored 30 points in the first half compared to only 18 in the two teams' first meeting. Indiana out rebounded Michigan 40-31 in the first meeting, but on Friday, Michigan had the upper hand at 38-29.

- Indiana didn't shoot the ball well from three-point range against Michigan at 4-of-24 on Friday. In the first meeting, the Hoosiers were 4-of-17.

- Indiana's bench outscored Michigan's, 22-2. A.J. Moye led the way off the bench for the Hoosiers with 18 points.

- Tom Coverdale had four assists on Friday against Michigan. Indiana is 15-5 this season when Coverdale has four or more assists.

- Indiana did not take its first lead of the game until the 6:03 mark on an A.J. Moye three-point play.

- Jeff Newton had six rebounds against Michigan and moved into a tie for 12th place on the Hoosiers career rebounds list with 719. He is tied with Dick Van Arsdale.

- Indiana won for the first time when trailing at halftime since December 14 against Purdue. The Hoosiers had lost seven straight when trailing at halftime before Friday's game.

- Indiana scored 17 points off of 12 Michigan turnovers, while Michigan only had two points off of Indiana's four turnovers.

- Bracey Wright failed to score doubles digits in back-to-back games for the first time in his career. Thursday against Penn State and Friday against Michigan were the first two times Indiana has won when Wright scored in single digits. Before the Big Ten Tournament, Indiana was 0-3 when Wright did not score in double digits.

- Indiana led by two with five minutes remaining. The Hoosiers are 19-1 when leading with five minutes to play.

- Seniors Tom Coverdale and Jeff Newton both scored 15 points on Friday and remain in a tie for 29th on the career scoring list. Both players have 1,167 points. Quinn Buckner is next on the list with 1,195 career points.

- Tom Coverdale had one steal against Michigan and moved into a tie for sixth on the career steals list. He is now tied with Isiah Thomas at 136. Mike Woodson is next on the list with 142 steals.

- Tom Coverdale went 4-of-4 from the free throw line against the Wolverines. He is now 26-of-30 (.867) in his career from the line at the Big Ten Tournament.

- Indiana improved to 6-5 in the history of the Big Ten Tournament. Under Mike Davis, IU is 5-2 at the BTT and 4-1 lifetime against Michigan.
