Currently, senior third baseman Vasili Spanos leads the Hoosiers the plate with his .448 batting average, 13 RBI, 13 runs scored and a .793 slugging percentage. Sophomore Corby Heckman has also performed well in the early going, hitting at a .387 clip. Junior catcher Cody Wargo owns a .312 batting average and senior designated hitter Nick Evans is hitting .304.
Senior Jacob Cary and Ryan Smith and junior Adam Pegg have all collected two wins on the season. Junior Chris Behrens, redshirt freshman Austin Rhoads and true freshman Chris Hynes have all failed to give up an earned run in 10, seven and five innings respectively. Smith, the Hoosier closer, has picked up a pair of saves and leads the staff with 11 strikeouts and has not surrendered a walk in 8.2 innings pitched.

--Indiana has outscored its opponents 72 to 28 on the season.
--The Hoosiers are hitting .291 as a team.
--Junior first baseman Kevin Mahar has hit safely in seven consecutive games and owns the team's longest hitting streak. Vasili Spanos has a six-game hitting streak.
--With eight victories so far this season, head coach Bob Morgan has 993 career wins, putting him just seven away from 1,000.
--Redshirt freshman Ryan Parker is making the most of his opportunities. Parker is a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate this season.
--Indiana's most productive innings this season has been the sixth. IU has scored 19 runs while allowing just five.
--The Hoosiers are 3-0 this season against team from the state of Indiana, with wins over Valparaiso, Butler and DePauw.
--IU's will open its Big Ten season March 28-30 with a four-game series at Illinois.
