Bloomington, Ind. – The weather in Bloomington, Indiana is getting warmer and the IU women’s soccer team will soon be getting back into outdoor action.
While the team trained and conditioned over the winter months, the Hoosiers now look ahead to the 2003 spring schedule.
The Urban Soccer Development Program of Indianapolis has put together a large soccer showcase on April 12. Men’s and women’s soccer teams from the state of Indiana were invited to participate in the showcase and the event is bound to be a success. The Hoosiers will face Ball State at 7 p.m. on the 12th at Indianapolis’ Kuntz Stadium. The showcase is sponsored by the Kuntz Advisory Team and the Indianapolis Parks & Recreation to benefit the Urban Soccer League (USL).
Before IU travels to Indianapolis, however, they will have their team banquet Saturday, April 5 and then host a set of home games against Dayton and the Madison 56ers the following day, Sunday, April 6. The Hoosiers square off with Dayton at noon and face the 56ers at 3 p.m. Both games will be played at Armstrong Stadium.
Between the home games on April 5, the women’s soccer team will be hosting a free youth clinic.
