Lydia Schrott Joins the Incoming Class of 2003

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana field hockey team announced its fourth member of the 2003 incoming class. Lydia Schrott (Quarryville, Pa./Lancaster Christian School) will join Rachel Telian (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer), Jodi Murphy (Williamsburg, Va./Jamestown) and Morgan Miller (Gap, Pa./Pequea Valley) in the fall.
"Lydia is a very versatile player who could see action for us in any position," head coach Amy Robertson said. "She has athletic gifts plus the will to do anything to improve and to win games. She loves a challenge and is not afraid to put in the work to see how far she can go. Lydia will be a perfect match and great addition to the incoming class that previously signed in February."
Lydia Schrott comes to Indiana from Quarryville, Pa. Schrott has been a member of the Lancaster Christian School varsity field hockey team for four years, earning Rookie of the Year honors her freshman year, receiving the Coaches Award her sophomore season and MVP Offense in her junior year. Schrott also received All-Conference accolades her freshman, sophomore and junior seasons.
Schrott has been a member of the Futures program since eighth grade where she was selected as an alternate for the National Futures Tournament in tenth grade and was a member of the National Futures Tournament U19 Gold Medal Team and an alternate for B-Camp as a junior.
Schrott has also lettered in soccer, earning Most Valuable Player and All-Conference honors her freshman and sophomore seasons.
Schrott is a member of the National Honors Society, has made high honor roll since her freshman year, was class president in ninth grade and has been class secretary since her sophomore year. Schrott has been actively involved in the Calvary Church Youth group since ninth grade where she gained the opportunity to travel to San Louis Potosi, Mexico, on a missions tip the summer of her senior year.
