Yurcich Newest Grad Assistant

Bloomington, Ind. - Mike Yurcich is the newest member of the Indiana football coaching staff.

Yurcich will be a graduate assistant on Gerry DiNardo's staff after serving as the offensive coordinator at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne. He will replace Mike Talbert, who moved on to take an assistant coach position at Jackson State.

While at Saint Francis, Yurcich helped the Cougars to four consecutive Mid-States Football Association Mid-East League Championships and four NAIA Playoff berths, guiding USF to a 38-8 record in that time. In addition, Yurcich served as the pitching coach on the baseball team for the last four years.

Yurcich graduated from California University (Pa.) in 1999 with a degree in psychology. While at CUP, Yurcich was a three-year starter at quarterback and was a team captain for two seasons. After graduating, he moved on to Saint Francis, where he earned a MSEd in school counseling.
