Bloomington, Ind. - The Indiana-Notre Dame basketball game that was originally scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 9 in South Bend, has been moved to Wednesday, Dec. 10. The game will tip off at 9 p.m. EST at The Joyce Center and will be televised by ESPN.Six of Indiana's first eight opponents advanced to the 2003 NCAA Tournament, and three of those teams (Notre Dame, Butler on Dec. 13 and Kentucky on Dec. 20 in Indianapolis) made the Sweet 16.
Although the Hoosiers own a seven-game series winning streak against the Fighting Irish, including three straight in South Bend, Notre Dame received a recent boost when star guard Chris Thomas withdrew his name from the NBA Draft and announced his return to Coach Mike Brey's program.
