ITA Preseason Rankings Released

Bloomington, Ind.- When the Indiana womens tennis doubles tandem of Karie Schlukebir and Linda Tran take to the court for the 2003 fall season, the duo will do so ranked 28th in the country in womens doubles, according to ITA preseason rankings released Sept. 3.

Schlukebir and Tran had an overall doubles record of 17-7 last season and 5-3 in the Big Ten. The tandem advanced to the final of the ITA Summer National Championship in July.

The Indiana womens team begin the season Sept. 19 at the Bronco Invitational in Kalamazoo, Mich.

For the Indiana men team, Jakub Praibis is ranked 70 and Ryan Recht is ranked 93. Praibis had a record of 15-10 for the 2002-03 season. Recht finished the season 14-11. Recht also advanced to the finals of the ITA Summer National Championship in July.

The Indiana mens team begin the season Oct. 7 at the Icy Hot American Qualifying in Chattanooga, Tenn.
