The Hoosiers improve to 9-6 overall on the season, while the RedHawks drop to 5-11. Indiana's nine wins is currently the most in school history. The previous school record of eight victories in a single season was set in 2003.
Indiana controlled the play throughout the first half, out shooting the RedHawks, 6-2. The Hoosiers got on the board as Meeuwen knocked in a saved shot by Miami senior goalkeeper Kerri Orr at 8:23 of the first half.
Meeuwen now has five goals on the season.
RedHawks freshman Taylor Florence banged home a goal to tie the game with just over 18 minutes left in regulation.
The RedHawks and Hoosiers traded scoring chances over the final minutes before heading to overtime.
Senior goalkeeper Katie Kanara finished with four saves to earn the win between the pipes. Orr made seven saves for the RedHawks.
Indiana finished the game with a 14-9 edge in shots.
The Hoosiers return to action on Friday, Oct. 22, when they sqaure off with Central Michigan in Mt. Pleasant, Mich. Game time is set for 3:00 p.m.
