Hoosiers Fall to PSU, 3-0

Senior Katie Pollom led IU with 13 kills, while freshman Juli Pierce notched 19 digs in patrolling the floor. Senior Christina Archibald added 10 digs of her own, while sophomore Tasha Arsenych served as Indiana's primary setter with 33 assists.
In the first frame, Penn State out-hit the Hoosiers, .325-.061, to jump out to a 1-0 lead in the match. PSU maintained its momentum in the second stanza to win, 30-21, and take a commanding 2-0 lead. The Nittany Lions then held off a late IU rally to claim the match, 3-0, after a 30-27 game.
Senior Syndie Nadeau sparked Penn State in the triumph with a double-double comprised of 11 kills and 11 digs, while freshman Kate Price posted a match-high 18 kills. Junior Kaleena Walters swept the floor with 18 kills, while classmate Sam Tortorello served up 44 helpers.
Next up, the Cream and Crimson rolls into Columbus, Ohio to battle Ohio State on Halloween at 2 p.m.
