At Illinois, Indiana opened the game with an 80-yard scoring pass from Matt LoVecchio to Jahkeen Gilmore. It was IU's longest scoring play of the season. The last time the Hoosiers had a touchdown reception of 80 yards or more was Sept. 4, 1999, against Ball State (Versie Gaddis from Antwann Randle El for 81 yards).
The Hoosiers scored touchdowns on their first three possessions of the game at Illinois. The last time that IU scored on its first three possessions was Oct. 6, 2001, at Wisconsin in a 63-32 win. In that game against the Badgers, Indiana scored on its first four possessions en route to the victory.
LOVECCHIO SETS SCHOOL RECORD
Matt LoVecchio set a school record for single-game passing percentage at Illinois. The Franklin, N.J., native completed 15-of-17 passes for a percentage of .882 against the Illini. The old record was .786 (11-14) set by Tim Clifford at Colorado on Sept. 27, 1980.

HOOSIERS RANKED AMONG NATION'S BEST
According to the Nov. 7 NCAA Division I football statistics, the Hoosiers rank second in the country in kickoff returns with an average of 30.80 yards per return. Lance Bennett ranks fourth in the nation in kickoff returns (31.41 per return). Courtney Roby is 32nd in the country, averaging 83.22 receiving yards per game, and 32nd in receptions per game (5.44). Matt LoVecchio is 42nd in the nation is pass efficiency (130.65).
Herana-Daze Jones and Kyle Killion rank fifth and seventh in the country for solo tackles per game at 7.11 and 6.78, respectively. Killion is tied for 15th in the nation with 14.5 total tackles for loss and Jones is tied for 16th, averaging 10.56 total tackles per game. Tracy Porter is 32nd in the country in interception average at .43 per game.

MODEL OF CONSISTENCY
Courtney Roby has caught a pass in 16 straight games. The last time he was held without a reception was at Michigan on Sept. 23, 2003. Dating back to the Nov. 17, 2001, game at Penn State, the Indianapolis native has corralled a ball in 35 of his last 36 games. For his career, he has caught at least one ball in 39 of 44 games, with three of his five catchless games coming in his freshman campaign. AMONG BIG TEN LEADERS
Senior safety Herana-Daze Jones is third in the Big Ten in tackles per game, averaging 10.6. Junior linebackers Kyle Killion and Paul Szczesny rank fourth and eighth in tackles at 9.9 and 8.9, respectively. Killion is third in the conference with 14.5 tackles for loss. Sophomore defensive end Kenny Kendal, senior defensive end Victor Adeyanju, Killion and Jones are all tied for second in the league with a pair of forced fumbles.
On the offensive side of the ball, senior wide receiver Courtney Roby is third in the Big Ten in receiving yards (83.2) and fourth in receptions per game (5.44). Lance Bennett is first in kick return average (31.4). Matt LoVecchio ranks fourth in the league in passing efficiency (130.7).
