Indiana Falls to No. 5 Minnesota, 3-0

Senior Katie Pollom led IU with 13 kills, while freshman Juli Pierce posted a double-double with 14 digs and 10 assists. Sophomore Tasha Arsenych shook off the flu bug in the third game to tally 12 helpers, while freshman Christine Nilles added 10 digs.
The first frame witnessed a red-hot Minnesota squad connect at a .550 clip to down Indiana, 30-16, and take a 1-0 lead in the match. In the second stanza, the Golden Gophers capitalized on 11 IU miscues to win the game, 30-12, and extend their lead to 2-0. The third game was much more competitive as Minnesota barely out-hit Indiana, .235-.208, but IU could not pull out the victory and fell, 30-25, to close out the match.
Erin Martin led Minnesota with 18 kills, while Lindsey Taatjes notched a double-double with 20 assists and 14 digs.
Next up, Indiana concludes the year with a pair of Big Ten match-up at home. First, the Hoosiers tangle with Northwestern on Nov. 26 at 7 p.m., before battling Wisconsin on Nov. 27 at 7 p.m. Both contests will take place at the University Gym.
