Marc Carlton Tabbed Big Ten Diver of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - After helping No. 14 Indiana to victory in the 2004 Indiana Invitational on Nov. 19-21, senior Marc Carlton was named the Big Ten Diver of the Week for the week of Nov. 22.
"Marc did a nice job this past week considering that he has been very busy with school and practice, but Marc always does a great job of stepping up in a meet," Head Diving Coach Dr. Jeff Huber said. "He is a great captain and team leader."
Carlton earned his sixth career Diver of the Week recognition after finishing first in the three-meter and platform events over the weekend. The senior earned marks of 537.65 (finals) and 569.75 (prelims) on the three-meter and 527.50 in a combined prelim/final performance on the tower. Additionally, the Webster, N.Y., product took third on the one-meter with marks of 279.50 (finals) 286.85 (prelims). This recognition is Carlton's second of the season.
Next up, the Cream and Crimson host Iowa, Purdue and Southern Illinois on Dec. 4 at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind., at 1 p.m.
