Hoosiers Fall to Michigan, 3-0

Senior Christina Archibald led IU with 13 kills, while freshman Juli Pierce registered 11 digs. Additionally, sophomore Tasha Arsenych tallied 30 assists as IU's primary setter.
In the first frame, Michigan out-hit the Hoosiers, .432-.214, to jump out to a 1-0 lead in the match. U-M continued its success in the second stanza to win, 30-21, and take a 2-0 lead in the match despite Indiana forcing six ties and four lead changes. The Wolverines then closed out IU, 30-21, to seize the contest, 3-0.
Erin Cobler paced Michigan with 16 kills, while Lisa Gamalski posted a double-double with 37 assists and 13 saves. Sarah Allen served as the primary defender with 15 digs, while Cobler imposed her will at the net with nine block assists.
Next up, the Cream and Crimson battles Michigan State on Nov. 6 at 7 p.m., in the University Gym.
