Indiana Host Hoosier Classic Tournament (3-26-04)

Bloomington, Ind. -The Indiana field hockey team will be hosting the third-annual Hoosier Classic, a two-day tournament comprised of a 7 v 7 and 11 v 11 tournament in Mellencamp Pavilion on Saturday, March 27 and Sunday, March 28. The tournament will begin at 9:00 a.m. each day and end at approximately 3:00 p.m.
Five collegiate teams - Indiana, Louisville, Saint Louis, Miami (Ohio) University and Southwest Missouri State, and three club teams - IFHCK, Central Ohio and the Bloomington Hockey Club, will take part in the Hoosier Classic 7's this on Saturday.
The Hoosier Classic 11's on Sunday will feature Indiana, Southwest Missouri State, the Bloomington Hockey Club, Central Ohio, IFHCK and Chicago. Indiana is set to compete against Southwest Missouri State.
Indiana will be missing the offense of junior midfielder Kayla Bashore and freshman midfielder Jodi Murphy during the weekend. Both are in Virginia Beach, Va. training with the U21 National Team.
