Dennison Earns Academic All-District Honors

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University senior Karen Dennison has been named to the 2004 Verizon/CoSIDA University Division Women's At-Large Academic All-District V first team, which was announced Thursday, May 27, for the second straight year.
Dennison, a sports marketing and management major, is coming off a successful senior season for Indiana women's golf. She won two individual titles during the 2003-04 campaign at the Shootout at the Legends and the Indiana Invitational, and helped team win the Baylor-Tapatio Springs Shootout. Dennison was a 2004 first team All-Big Ten selection, the second time she has received the honor as she was also selected in 2003. Dennison was also selected a first-team Verizon Academic All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) in 2003.
To be nominated for Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve and carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher. Team members are selected by a vote of the members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) within the district. First team selections will appear on the national ballot for the Verizon Academic All-America Women's At-Large team.
