IU Announces Fall Schedule

Bloomington, Ind. - The Indiana University softball team has announced its 2004 fall schedule. The fall slate includes a pair of tournaments and a home doubleheader against Indiana State.
The Hoosiers will open their fall at the Chicagoland Classic in Orland Park, Ill. IU will face Western Illinois on Friday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m. On Saturday, Sept. 18, the Cream and Crimson will have a pair of games on the docket against Northern Iowa at 9 a.m., and Northern Illinois at 11 a.m. The final game of the tournament will be on Sunday, Sept. 19, at noon against Bradley.
The second tournament of the fall will be at Indiana State in Terre Haute, Ind., on Saturday, Sept. 25. Indiana will face Butler at noon and Parkland Junior College (Champaign, Ill.) at 3 p.m.
The Hoosiers will close their fall campaign with a doubleheader against Indiana State on Sunday, Oct. 3, at 11 a.m., on the IU Softball Field.
IU closed the 2003-04 season with a record of 32-31 and will return 12 letterwinners from last year's team. The Cream and Crimson will open fall practice on Sept. 10.
