Ann Arbor, Mich. - The Indiana women's golf team shot a final round of 318 at the Lady Northern Invitational on Sunday afternoon at the University of Michigan Golf Course to finish 14th overall with a score of 969 (324-327-318).
Lissa Putnam was the top finisher for the Hoosiers, shooting 242 (85-80-77). Bethany Brunner and Molly Redfearn finished right on her heels tied for 68th with a score of 244. Brunner shot 80-84-80 while Redfearn shot 83-83-78.
Also participating for the Hoosiers were Elaine Harris, who finished 77th (78-87-83-248), Kendal Hake, who placed 93rd (83-85-95-263) and Katie Carlson who finished 95th overall (95-80-93-268).
Michigan won the tournament with a score of 881, followed by second-place finisher Ohio State with 885. Other conference foes, Michigan State (fourth-899) and Purdue (fifth-906) rounded out the top five of the tournament.
The Hoosiers continue with their fall season on Sept. 18-19 when they travel to East Lansing, Mich., to take part in the Mary Fossum Invitiational.
