Hoosiers Fall to Tribe

After a scoreless first half, William & Mary's Kelly Giles scored an unassisted game winning goal in the 55th minute.
"The game was a couple cards short of a full deck," head coach Amy Robertson said. "We had missed opportunities in the open field. William & Mary had fresher legs than we did today. It hurts but we did it to ourselves."
The Hoosiers struggled against the Tribe's defensive pressure, as they were only able to manage three shots, including two on goal. Indiana also recorded one penalty corner compared to William & Mary's 20.
"We put ourselves in this situation," Robertson said "We just had tired legs out there.
Goalkeeper Katie Kanaka had six saves in the losing effort.
Indiana returns to action on Friday, September 24, when they play host to ninth ranked Michigan at 4 p.m. in the Mellencamp Pavilion.
