Hoosiers Fall to Iowa

Iowa got onto the board first with a Margot McMahon's, first of three goals on the day in the 31st minute.
Indiana tied the game up at one in the 47th minute, with sophomore Lydia Schrott's fifth goal of the season off assists from juniors Lesley Wiler and Mallory Reabold.
Less than four minutes later, McMahon scored her second goal of the day unassisted to give Iowa a 2-1 lead. Caroline Blaum gave Iowa a 3-1 lead in the 57th minute off of an assist from Sarah Dawson. The final Hawkeye goal came from McMahon off of a penalty stroke in the 69th minute of action.
Senior goalkeeper Katie Kanara had six saves in the losing effort.
"Iowa played really hard today," head coach Amy Robertson said. "We had to earn everything today. I think it took us 15 minutes in the first half to start playing. Once we did, we competed very well and hard."
The Hoosiers return to action on Saturday, Oct. 2, when they travel to State College, Pa. to take on Penn State at noon at the Bigler Field.
