IU Hosts Indiana State for Fall DH

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Hoosiers softball team will close its fall season this weekend on Sunday, Oct. 3, with a doubleheader against Indiana State at the IU Softball Field. First pitch is slated for 11 a.m., and admission to the twinbill is free.
The teams tangled twice last season with the Hoosiers taking both games by the scores of 6-4 in nine innings and 15-9 in eight innings.
IU opened its fall campaign with five contests at the Chicagoland Classic and played two games last weekend in Terre Haute, but didn't face the Sycamores.
Indiana State has participated in three fall tournaments. The Sycamores traveled to Illinois State and IUPUI before hosting the ISU Invitational last weekend.
Last season the Sycamores finished with a mark of 23-41.
The Hoosiers will open their 2005 spring campaign on Feb. 4-6 at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
