Head Coach Mike DavisOpening Statement:
MD: "Tomorrow's (Saturday) game is a really big game for us. It's an in-state rivalry game. Purdue is playing well right now. They have been in several games this season. Both teams are similar and I think it will be a great game."
On Purdue's Carl Landry and David Teague
MD: "(David) Teague is a really good player that can shoot the basketball. (Carl) Landry has really played well for them this year. Those two alone give them 30 points a night. What we have to do make sure that we defend them. Teague is getting back to being full strength. He is really looking good on tape."
On Indiana's freshmen against Purdue
MD: "We have had two road games that we thought would get us ready for conference play, one at Missouri and another one against Connecticut. But in conference play, it is a totally different than any other road game. I feel though, we have played some tough opponents on the road. It's going to be a good experience for them."
On Robert Vaden
MD: "We have been playing him out of his normal position a lot this year. I think he is starting to get use to it, facing guys taller and bigger than he is. He is holding his own and playing well."
On attacking offensively Purdue
MD: "We are going to play our game. If the shot is good, then we will take it, whether it's inside our outside."
