White Named ESPN.com ROW

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana men's basketball player freshman forward D.J. White was named ESPN.com's National Freshman of the Week as announced on the web site Monday.

The Tuscaloosa, Ala., native hit a seven-foot jumper with 14.7 seconds left to lift Indiana to a 69-68 win over Oral Roberts on Dec. 31. White finished with 23 points and 11 rebounds en route to his first career double-double.

White followed that up with a solid 17 points and seven-board game in a 68-52 win over Furman on Sunday afternoon.

White is averaging 12.4 points and 5.2 rebounds for the Hoosiers.
