Williams Declared Academically Ineligible

Bloomington, Ind. -- Indiana junior forward April Williams has been declared academically ineligible for the second semester, IU head coach Kathi Bennett announced today. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act does not allow the University to comment further on the student-athletes' academic status.

A 6-0 native of Covington, Tenn., Williams did not appear in any games this season, but averaged 1.6 points and 0.9 rebounds per game during her first two seasons with Indiana. She posted a career-high eight points on two different occasions against Iowa State (11/29/03) and Florida State (12/3/03).
