Afternoon with the Champions (1-6-05)

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The back-to-back national champion Indiana men's soccer team will be honored on a pair of occasions during the month of January. IU won its seventh NCAA title with a 3-2 penalty kick victory over UC-Santa Barbara at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., on Dec. 12.

The Hoosiers will be recognized at halftime of the Jan. 19 men's basketball game against Michigan. The game is set for 8:00 p.m. at Assembly Hall and will be televised on ESPN Plus.

On Saturday, Jan. 22, Assembly Hall's south lobby will be the setting for "Afternoon with the Champions." The event will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and is free to the public.

Fans can pick up championship team photos, IU soccer stickers and posters at the event. Players and coaches from the championship team will be on hand for an autograph session. Championship merchandise will be available for purchase with the championship trophy on display.
