BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - IUHOOSIERS.com recently asked the 2005 Indiana Volleyball squad a series of questions. The seventh in the series is senior outside hitter Rachel Gerling.
What has been your favorite class at IU and why?
If I had to choose, I would choose Bob Graf's Ceramics class! Why? because you work with clay and are allowed to get covered in it.
What is your major and why?
Studio Art and Art History because there is no ultimate ending point, there is endless growth in your work and within yourself. it's the challenge of never having a final stopping point, it is always changing... you and your art are always changing, there is always another direction in which to take it.
What do you plan to do when you complete collegiate competition?
Go back to school, study something else, learn new things, change sports, travel, learn another language, teach, be an sign interpretor, become an EMT...there is an ocean of opportunities out there and I can never make up my mind, I will never be able to choose just one, so I will probably end up doing most of those.
