Katie Carlson Aces Par-3 Seventh Hole

Senior Katie Carlson earned her first career hole-in-one during Tuesday's final round of the Shootout At The Legends.

FRANKLIN, Ind. - Senior Katie Carlson accomplished a first as an Indiana women's golfer. The Livonia, Mich., native, playing the final round of the Shootout At The Legends, aced the par 3, 164-yard seventh hole. It was the first career hole-in-one for Carlson.

"Getting a hole-in-one is a great accomplishment for any golfer," Indiana head coach Clint Wallman said. "Katie has worked very hard on her game and it has shown throughout the year. We are expecting good things from her and this is a sign of things to come."

As a team, the Hoosiers entered Tuesday's final round in eighth overall with a 608 (305-303). Check back with IUHOOSIERS.com on Tuesday for the tournament's final round results.
