Hoosiers Honor Six Seniors in Season Finale

A native Escondido, Calif., Albini has started every game for the Hoosiers in her four-year career as a back. In 2005, the elementary education major has commanded the tough Hoosier defense that has held opponents to only 19 goals. The IU defense can also be credited with four shutout victories this season. The Oct. 17 recipient of the IUHOOSIERS.com Scholar-Athlete of the Week, is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection and a three-time NFHCA National Academic squad member. Additionally, Albini earned second-team All-Big Ten honors in 2003.
Bashore, arguably one of the most decorated players in IU field hockey history, is a product of Shoemakersville, Pa., and is a four-year starter for the Hoosiers. The fifth-year senior biology major is the first Hoosier to be named to the U.S. National team and the first IU player to earn All-American honors (2003). Bashore is a three-time All-Region and All-Big Ten selection. Participating with the national team in late August, Bashore started one game for the red, white and blue. Bashore is currently the 2005 goals (11) and points (24) leader and holds the single-game goals (3) and points (6) record. Additionally, Bashore was one of the first two Hoosiers to be named to the North/South Senior All-Star game to be held in Nov. Bashore is the single-season record holder in goals (11) and shots (59) and tied for the career lead in goals (22). Bashore excels in the classroom as well. The two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection and four-time NFHCA National Academic Squad member even has medical school plans.
Orciuch has appeared in all 72 games during her four-year career as a Hoosier. In 2005, the West Falmouth, Mass., native has tallied 12 points off five goals and two assists. For her career, Orciuch has accounted for 17 goals and five assists which is good for fourth in all-time career goals. Additionally, the exercise science major earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2004.
Reabold has emerged as one of the Hoosiers' most dominate scoring powers this season. The Lehighton, Pa., product has tallied an impressive 17 points off seven goals and three assists, nearly doubling her stats up to this year. The 2005 North/South Senior All-Star game selection, has played in every game in her four years at Indiana, and has accumulated 12 career goals. Reabold turned up the offense this season, scoring a pair of goals and recorded an assist against Pacific (Sept. 9) then scoring another two against Kent State two weeks later. Currently, Reabold is third on the team in both points (17) and goals (7). Additionally, Reabold added a Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honor to her resume for the week of Oct. 8, 2002. The outdoor recreation and resource management major earned Academic All-Big Ten and NFHCA Academic accolades in both 2003 and 2004.
Wiler is a four-year starter and two-time captain for Indiana. The only Hoosier to score against No. 1 Wake Forest, Wiler has tallied 14 points off four goals and six assists in 2005. The San Diego, Calif., native has made some kind of offensive contribution in 10 of the season's 15 games. The exercise science major is currently second on the team in assists (6) and shots (49). For her career, Wiler has tallied 15 goals and is the fourth leading scorer and second in career helpers (14) in IU history.
Woolsey, a three-year captain, has been a four-year starter and three-time captain for the Hoosiers and has played in one game so far this season after suffering an injury in the pre-season. The business major from St. Louis, Mo., has recorded 11 points off two goals and seven assists for her career. Woolsey is currently fifth in the career standings for assists and has one Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honor on her resume. Additionally, Woolsey is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection and a four-time member of the NFHCA National Academic squad.
After this weekend's games, the Hoosiers are off to Iowa City, Iowa for the Big Ten Tournament that runs from Nov. 4-6.
