BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana Hoosiers (4-4, 1-4) return home to host Minnesota (5-3, 2-3) on Nov. 5 at noon EST at Memorial Stadium (52,354). Pam Ward, David Norrie and Jimmy Dykes will be on the call for ESPN2, as will Don Fischer, Pete Compise and Joe Smith for the IU Radio Network.
• James Hardy collected a pair of touchdown receptions at Michigan State (10/29), giving him 10 on the season. He is now tied for second on the school's single-season list, three scores behind Ernie Jones total of 13 in 1987. Hardy also sits tied for eighth nationally with his 10 scoring receptions. He is the first IU receiver since Jones (1987) to catch at least one touchdown in seven of his first eight games, and he has caught two touchdown passes on three separate occasions this season.
• Quarterback Blake Powers and receiver James Hardy broke into Indiana's top 10 single-season passing and receiving lists, respectively, in several categories at Michigan State (10/29). In addition to adding to his school-record touchdown total (21) with one scoring toss, Powers completed 20 passes in 35 attempts and now sits sixth with 165 completions and ninth with 290 attempts on the year. Along with moving into a tie for second with 10 touchdowns this season, Hardy caught eight balls for 77 yards and is now third on the single-season list with 56 receptions and fifth with 848 yards.
• Victor Adeyanju continues to be a dominant force at left defensive end for the Hoosiers. The senior added to his team-leading totals with one sack and one tackle for loss against Michigan State (10/29). Adeyanju owns 5.5 sacks, which is tied for third in the Big Ten, and 10 tackles for loss this season, which is fourth in the league. The Chicago native is approaching the top five in school history with 12.5 career sacks and 29 tackles for loss. Kemp Rasmussen (1998-01) sits fifth all-time with 16.5 sacks and Joe Huff (1984-88) is fifth in Hoosier annals with 35 tackles for loss.
• In the Michigan State tilt (10/29), quarterback Blake Powers' 23-yard touchdown toss to James Hardy capped an eight-play, 61-yard drive that took 1:57. Graeme McFarland found Hardy for an 11-yard score as time expired, closing a three-play, 18-second drive. The two scores marked Indiana's 12th and 13th scoring drives (11 touchdowns and 2 field goals) out of 29 this season that have taken two minutes or less. Ten of those 13 scoring drives have taken less than 1:30 and four of the 13 have taken less than 1:00.
