BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - As the men's cross country team prepares for the Pre-NCAA meet in Terre Haute, Ind., on Saturday, Oct. 15, junior Marcus Aguilar sat down with IUHOOSIERS.com to give us a behind the scenes look.
Favorite Food: Lasagna (only if it's made by my mom).
Favorite TV Show: Adult Swim (the Venture Bros.) .
Favorite Movie: Kill Bill Vol. 1.
Favorite Bloomington restaurant: Siam House.
Favorite Musical Group/Singer: 311.
Favorite Sport Other than cross country: Soccer.
Favorite IU Class: Introduction to Eastern Religions.
Favorite Vacation spot: Colorado Rockies.
Favorite Actor/Actress: Morgan Freeman/Uma Thurman.
Favorite Place on Campus: The room with all of the comfortable furniture in the Union on the second floor. .
Favorite kind of Candy: Chick-O-Stick.
Favorite Professional Athlete: Thierry Henry.
If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would it be and why? I would trade places with James Hetfield of Metallica, because I always thought it would be cool to be a heavy metal rock star.
Name three people, (dead or alive) that you would like to have dinner with: Steve Prefontaine, Herman Hesse and Salvador Dali.
Any superstitions before competing? I have to touch the ground and rub some of the dirt from the course in my hands at the starting line.
What is your major and why? My major is Biochemistry, because I would like to go to grad school and conduct research in the biomedical field.
Something the average person doesn't know about me: I love to paint when I have the time.
