Get To Know Jobi Manson

Freshman goalkeeper Jobi Manson has appeared in one game this season and recorded her first save in that match against Lindenwood. Manson was credited with Indiana's only save in the 6-0 win against the Lions.
The Severna Park, Md., native and talented surfer sat down with IUHOOSIERS.com to talk about field hockey and her interests.
How I begin playing field hockey:
I began playing in the sixth grade.
Person I admire most:
My dad
Favorite athlete:
Keeala Kennelly. She is the best woman surfer in the world and is one of the only women to successfully tow into 30-foot waves.
Favorite IU sports team other than field hockey:
Swimming and diving
Favorite movie:
Endless Summer. I like it because it was the first surfing documentary film.
Favorite sports to play:
I love surfing and wakeboarding. I also enjoy softball and football.
Hardest class I've ever taken:
Economics
Place I would most like to travel to:
Jeffrey's Bay in South Africa.
Person I would most like to meet:
The famous surfer, Bruce Irons. He is the brother of the 4-time world champion.
Best piece of advice:
Never have any regrets, speak your mind and take advantage of opportunities.
What do you want to do when you graduate:
I want to move to South Africa and work for the UN.
What has been the highlight of your field hockey career:
Playing against the South African striker, Pietie Cotezze. She participating in the 2004 Olympics in Athens and currently plays on the 10th best team in the world.
