Hoosiers in the NCAA Ranks

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana volleyball team's mainstay this season has been its defense of the net. In the latest release of NCAA leaders, the Hoosiers can be found in various categories.

Overall, the team is tied for eighth in the country in blocks per game with 3.44, while Nebraska leads with 4.17.

Meanwhile, sophomore middle blocker Annie Moddrell stands ninth with 1.66 blocks per game, while senior middle blocker Mandy Eberle is in 18th with 1.58. Nebraska's Melissa Elmer paces the country with 2.19 per game.

Additionally, senior outside hitter Rachel Gerling is in 15th with 0.68 aces per game. The nation's leader is Winthrop's Mary Hock with a 1.19 average.

The Hoosiers return home for a pair of Big Ten matches this weekend. They open against #9 Minnesota on Oct. 7 at 7 p.m., before closing out the weekend against Iowa on Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. Both contests will take place at the University Gym in Bloomington, Ind.
